Yet another one of Bountiful’s summer traditions is the Bountiful Summerfest. Dancers and performers from different countries are hosted by families around the area. The countries vary each year, but often include countries from both Europe and Asia. My parents have hosted dancers from Taiwan and China a few times before, which is nice for the dancers because many of them don’t speak English.
During the Summerfest, local vendors set up at Bountiful City Park where you can buy food, art, clothing, and trinkets from the visiting countries.
There is a large pavilion where you can watch the performers throughout the day. It’s free of charge for entrance, although they do encourage and accept donations. It’s always fun to see what people have to sell, and it’s definitely a good evening to spend with friends or family.
My sister and I even got henna tattoos this year. I always thought they would be expensive, but the Indian dancers were only charging $5.
I think she got inspiration from my wedding ring. 🙂

They said it would last a week or so as long as we didn’t rub it too much. That ended up being about accurate for my sister, although I went boating at Bear Lake again the next day, so mine didn’t last quite as long.
