Well, with a new semester comes new public transit stories! Yesterday I discovered that every type of group, whether it be jock, cheerleader, nerds, or homeless people, they all have that one annoying friend everyone tries to avoid.
Sitting in front of me were an older man and a younger lady. Both were using all sorts of colorful language and practically yelling, so I couldn’t help but overhear their conversation. By the looks of their packs and their attire, I’m guessing they were homeless or had been backpacking for the past year, but I wasn’t entirely sure. Anyways, they were both complaining loudly about a woman that they knew. Apparently she is one for gossip, and gets into everyone’s businesses. The man went on with a story:
“One day we were at the store together, and I ditched her and hopped on a bus. When I got off at the next stop, there she was! How the heck did she get over there so fast? Fly?! And then she asked if I was trying to go somewhere without her or something. And I said yes! And she STILL didn’t leave me alone!”
So, if any of you have recently thought about ditching that annoying friend in a store and hopping on a bus, think again; they WILL find a way back to you!
